COLD ROLLING
Cold rolling for axles and molybdenum coating of seats are two strategic ways to improve locomotive safety, reduce axle and wheelset damage during overhauling, significantly slow down the appearance of the corrosion and possibly completely avoid NDT.
TAILORED REPROFILING PLAN
Our algorithms continuously monitor wheel wear status to identify the best reprofiling intervals and help locomotives roll longer, optimizing the Life Cycle Cost and increasing their availability.
SMARTSET® FOR CBM
Smartset® solution collects the stress levels of the loco axles, offering a real-time picture of the wheelset components usage, while StarCrack algorithm helps to extend the distance between NDT in service without affecting the safety. Smartset® can also identify defects on the axles during the planned inspection and prevent eventual problems in service, thus reducing the costs for OEMs.
