GREEN ID: A MILE CLOSER TO ZERO-EMISSIONS

In order to reduce our carbon footprint from “source to axle”, we’ve created a Green ID. It is a science-based tool that meets the ISO Standard and is aimed at monitoring, quantifying, reporting and verifying the emissions actually associated with a product across scope 1 to 4.

Putting the real CO2 impact of our products and components in numbers allows us to choose the best suppliers, adjust and accelerate environmental initiatives, and finally become clean-by-design.

MEET OUR RESILIENT WHEEL LIGHT ON WEIGHT. BIG ON RESILIENCE.

Our resilient wheel has been optimized to resist wear and tear, improving LRV safety and the LCC. Consisting of basic components such as a tyre, a wheel centre, a retaining ring and rubber blocks, our resilient wheels can withstand increasing axle loads and can also easily accommodate the noise absorbing Syope system (optional, customizable) to minimize noise emission.

Engineered for low-floor applications, Limoset’s patent-pending design not only allows to improve the accessibility to the vehicle for people with limited mobility, but also helps to significantly bring down the cost of infrastructure.

Unlike monoblock solutions, Limoset reduces the unsprung masses, it is modular and adaptable for different gauges. It is designed-to-cost and is easy to maintain. In fact, maintenance is limited to replacement of a damaged sub-component, vs replacing the entire wheelset, adding up to a serious financial benefit for the OEMs and ECMs.

SYOPE LAYERS.
YOUR SILENT ADVANTAGE.

Syope Layers technology in combination with the STARDAMP algorithm effectively eliminates squealing noise, caused by the second and third resonant frequency of the tyre, when the vehicle is approaching narrow curves.  Syope® absorbers could be mounted directly on the tyre with anti-vibration screws, or assembled with rivets on a special ring in a groove on the tyre.

Lucchini RS acts as a single reliable supplier for the technical responsibility, maintenance and replacement of rubber elements, tyres, mounting kits and Syope noise absorbing systems. We can support the Customer also with reverse engineering and supply of spare parts for existing wheel solutions.

CUSTOMIZATION

Lucchini RS steel boutique has been founded to add an unmatched level of design and material personalization. Our expertise and in-house production also allows us to adapt the design configuration to the specific interface requirements (e.g.: tread profile geometry and dimensions, traction and/or braking system interfaces) and to find the best solutions in terms of components material (e.g.: tyre mechanical properties, light-alloy solutions for the wheel center and the ring for unsprung masses optimization). We also offer service for reverse engineering of existing wheels for a complete or partial (spare parts) refurbishment, upon Customer’s request.
